The Role

This is a 9 months maternity leave cover with potential extension, this position will report to the Head of Customer Experience and Operations , and will quickly become an integral part of our fun, hard-working and collaborative team.

The Business Operations team main purpose is to ensure the ICAS Assessment business unit runs efficiently and effectively through, bringing teams together to have visibility and alignment on timelines, product specifications and operational and logistical requirements.

You will be responsible for managing and leading to ensure the efficient delivery of the ICAS Assessments BAU products to schools in all markets, including Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific and well as driving continuous improvements within the operational BAU activities.

The key activities for the role include:

  • Develop, implement, maintain and report on master schedules and operational plans within ICAS Assessments unit.
  • Provide supportive leadership, regular communication and direct support to the Business Operations team.
  • Consult with key stakeholders across multiple departments regarding the development of project specifications, communication strategies, project controls and achievement of project milestones.
  • Proactively identify issues, areas of enhancements which provides value added insights and lead/implement strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the definition of the project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and aligned to business unit and organisational strategic goals.
  • Determine, maintain and deliver logistical requirements for ICAS Assessment products. This includes handling budgets, managing suppliers and other third-party stakeholders and logistical resources.
  • Manage external events and delivery of operational activities. Undertake travel as required.
  • Project manage end-to-end contracts specific to item and test development within ICAS Assessments, using current project management methodology.
  • Develop, implement and monitor international resellers test delivery activities and operational logistics for BAU products.
  • Develop and leverages strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders and external customers in order to drive business outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Quality Management Team to foster workplace culture of continuous improvement to consistently meet industry standards and benchmarks.

About you

You are a Leader with experience in business/process improvement, organisational effectiveness and operations management.

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent organisation skills with successful experience in developing and meeting timelines under pressure and the ability to handle several projects and stakeholders simultaneously. Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate, collaborate and effectively interact with people from a range of backgrounds and levels.

It is essential to this role that you have advanced computer skills and experience of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Access and SharePoint.

The ideal candidate will be detailed and process driven, relationship builder and excellent communicator who will bring a positive attitude and presence to the business and be an advocate for continuous improvement.

It is desirable that you have experience in project or product management in large scale educational assessments programs and experience working with commercial contracts and tenders.
