The Role

Reporting to the CTO, the IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for leading all of Janison Technical Operations and cyber security activities either through in-house Operations and security teams or external 3rd Party Operations Partners.  The role requires an innovative approach to leverage Service Management best practices to deliver value to the business as well as strong customer focus to deliver an exceptional end user experience.

You will run an Operations team of 10 people that adhere to Agile delivery Methodologies and strive to achieve continuous improvement and CI/CD through automation of all monitoring, environmental set up and management of DevOps practices.

This role is an integral member of a dynamic executive team and requires a unique individual, someone who is technically adept, commercial and operationally focused, with a strong overarching vision for creating exceptional customer experiences.  A hands-on, strategist able to facilitate the growth of the business, within a clear strategic vision and goal in mind.

Duties will include;

  • Responsible for leading, mentoring and developing multiple Operations resources within Corporate Support, Security and Privacy, DevOps automation and Platform teams.
  • Continuous improvement of your team performance and efficiency via monitoring and improving your teams processes and controls.
  • Manage zealously the Security, Privacy, Performance and Hosting budget commitments for the business
  • Continuously drive automation initiatives toward CI/CD best practices to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and reduce operating costs.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Development and QA teams to manage the Demand and Supply of your resources, Quality Estimation of work and delivery of your teams commitments with a high level of Quality on time, budget and scope.
  • Participate in technical discussions and thought leadership with existing & potential clients, technical partners and internal teams
  • Identify, engage and manage all 3rd Party Vendors & Partners
  • Integration of IT Security with other parts of IT to facilitate seamless day-to-day operations
  • Ensure appropriate Quality Management Systems exist to deliver Janison’s Value Propositions

About you

To be successful in this role you must have a thorough understanding of all aspects of IT infrastructure, security, privacy, automation, system analysis, enterprise architecture, environment monitoring and management tools including development tools like JIRA . Extensive Microsoft Azure skills in cloud services, Azure SQL database, Azure Functions, Runbook, ARM templates, Redis and Azure Security Center. Strong scripting experience (PowerShell, YAML). Azure Kubernetes Services and Docker experience.

Along with this, you will have extensive knowledge in managing hosting and licencing budgets of $5M+ and experience in implementing ITIL, ITSM, ISM2017, GDPR, NIST framework and ISO27001.

You’ll have had previous experience managing SaaS environment at high scale, as well as experience building high performing teams and using monitoring for performance, quality and efficiency of teams.

The Head of IT Operations & Security will hold, or be willing/able to obtain, relevant security and compliance clearances as required, as Janison has a number of global government clients that require security checks.
