The role

The Services team is looking for a Consultant to come on board and assists with the smooth running of our large scale online assessment events, where students take tests on our digital platform.

You will join our fast-growing and cross-functional Services Division. This is a solution focused and hands on role, in which you will play a key role in driving solution excellence and efficiency within the team, pushing innovation and quality, and delivering detail and clarity in functional and technical outcome for our clients.

Working alongside our clients, you will need to understand the timing and frequency of their events across the year, and assist them with the planning and operation of these, ensuring overall successful delivery.

Duties include:

  • Working closely with the Janison IT operations team, to ensure the environment is scaled adequately in the ramp up to events
  • Ensuring the environments for the client are functionally operational and that any bugs that needed addressing from previous events has been rectified
  • Attend regular meeting with the (PISA Based Test for Schools) PBTS Project Manager and country National Service Providers (NSPs)
  • Assist NSPs in preparing test content for the first year of delivery
  • Support the NSP and the OECD in reviewing and approving test content for the first year of delivery
  • Digitizing new test items that are expected in 2020
  • Supporting NSPs to prepare the various data files required for loading data for PBTS Test Cycles
  • Running, providing and explaining daily reports for countries that are in delivery or marking phases
  • Providing expert advice and support for countries delivery or marking phases – during the operational times of the country – utilising WhatsApp and Zoom and support and communication tools
  • Providing support to the PBTS Project Manager in designing new features and functions of the PBTS platform to help ensure the system continues to improve and remain efficient
  • Coordinating loading of data/ reporting for a test event
  • Be available to be on-call to support customers in ticket triage and workarounds
  • Provide functional and technical advice to customers and coordinate UAT test with customers

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have previous technical and business experience in a consultant role for medium to large scale enterprise projects. You will have relevant experience delivering software implementation of multiple projects simultaneously within specified timeframes in a fast-paced environment. Experience in educational solution industry is an advantage.

You will have relevant tertiary qualification in business, IT or equivalent.

To succeed in this role, you will be eager, organised (strong focus on system and process documentation), logical, practical, motivated and curious; You will have highly developed communication skills and ability to interact professionally with all client stakeholders and staff; Ability to work autonomously, with minimal support; Analytic mindset, accuracy, attention to details and creative problem solving.
