The role
The Report Developer is responsible for the creation of data visualisation solutions for customer facing and internal Janison systems. You will have extensive experience using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft stack tools to build dashboards and reports. This role will work closely with the Architect, Product and Project teams to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and designed considering future roadmap direction. As a member of the development team you will work to quality practices and make recommendations on how we can continually improve.
Duties include:
Develop code that meets Janison standards, is performant and conforms to accessibility and quality guidelines
Deliver on requirements detailed in Jira tickets meeting the acceptance criteria specified
Work with the scrum team and contribute to all scrum meetings and with the development team to improve our systems and contribute to technical specifications where needed
Provide subject matter expertise to business and technical staff across departments in Janison
Maintain skills and improve knowledge through self-education on top of any in-house training
Contribute to skills improvement of Janison staff through tech training sessions
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent knowledge of PowerBI, SQL, scripting, performance and automation. You will have strong dimensional modelling experience, Data Visualisation and Microsoft Azure Data Lake.
It is preferable that you’ll have previous experience with Power BI Dataflow, Embedded Solutions and Data Analysis Expression (DAX).
