The role

In this newly created role, the Services team is looking for a Digital Events Manager to come on board and manage the smooth running of our large-scale online assessment events, where students take tests on our digital platform.

Working alongside our clients, you will need to understand the timing and frequency of their events across the year, and assist them with the planning and operation of these, ensuring overall successful delivery. You’ll be responsible for overseeing a team of digital event delivery consultant and taking an active role with our largest customers.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale online assessment events.

During critical test events that runs for a few weeks, you will act as the escalation point and may be required to triage issues and provide workarounds to issues as they arise. The role involves supporting high stake test events you will be required to be available outside of standard business hours.

Duties include:

  • Introduce new systems, programs, and technologies into our clients’ organisation. Owning the successful delivery outcome.
  • Oversee and support multiple implementations.
  • Create event delivery improvement strategies and methodology to minimise the risk of delivering high stake online tests.
  • Ensure events are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team management of a diverse mix of Event Professional Services Consultants and cross functional teams.
  • Development of a checklist to be used before each event
  • Conducting status meeting updates with clients before, during and after each event, acting as the liaison point throughout
  • Working closely with the Janison IT operations team, to ensure the environment is scaled adequately in the ramp up to events
  • Work with the digital event delivery team to ensure the environments for the client are functionally operational and that any bugs that needed addressing from previous events has been rectified
  • Support the client in reviewing and approving test content for the test delivery.
  • Supporting the client to prepare the various data files required for loading data.
  • Running, providing and explaining daily reports for during high stake events.
  • Support the delivery team to provide expert advice (functional and technical) and support customers during delivery or marking phases – during the operational times of the country.
  • Providing support to the Product Manager in designing new features and functions of the Janison Insights platform to help ensure the system continues to improve and remain efficient
  • Liaise with clients around tickets and their resolution
  • Coordinating UAT test with customers and regression testing before release

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a similar role managing multiple implementations and projects. You will have technical hands on experience and software functional background. This will include experience creating UAT test; regression testing; ability to design new interfaces and function; advanced Excel experience.

Ideally, you will have background working with digital events for a software or tech company.

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent organisational, time management and relationship building skills .You have a sense of urgency and strive to meet timelines in all circumstances and strong business acumen.
