The role

In this newly created role, Janison is looking to hire a Project or Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of the OECD PISA for Schools assessment globally.

Working in collaboration with our valued partner, the OECD you will need to understand the timing and frequency of these assessment events across the year to assist them with planning, implementation and successful delivery. You’ll be responsible for overseeing a team of digital event delivery team members to service clients, accountable to the Group Executive – OECD PISA for Schools.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of PISA for Schools in multiple countries and time zones. During critical test events you will act as the escalation point and may be required to triage issues and provide workarounds to issues as they arise. The role involves supporting all PISA for Schools test events and you will be required to be available outside of standard business hours to support the clients 24×7 during the critical test event period.

Duties include:

  • Introduce new systems, programs, delivery methodologies and technologies to successfully deliver PISA for Schools
  • Oversee and support multiple implementations concurrently and create event delivery improvement strategies to minimise risk during test events
  • Ensure events are completed on time and within budget, owning the successful delivery
  • Providing regular status meeting updates with clients before, during and after each event, acting as the liaison point throughout
  • Working closely with the Janison IT operations team and with digital event delivery team to ensure the environment is scaled adequately in the ramp up to events
  • Attend regular meetings with the OECD and Group Executive – OECD PISA for Schools to update on delivery milestones
  • Support the clients in reviewing and approving test content for the test delivery
  • Supporting the delivery team to provide expert advice and support customers during delivery or marking phases – during the operational times of the country
  • Providing support to the Group Executive – OECD PISA for Schools by designing new features and functions of the Janison Insights platform to help ensure the system continues to improve and remain efficient
  • Be available to be on-call to support customers in ticket triage and workarounds
  • Provide functional and technical advice to customers
  • Coordinating UAT test and regression test before release

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a similar role managing multiple implementations and projects for a software or tech company. You will have technical hands on experience and software functional background. This includes the ability to create and maintain tests and tests items, ability to diagnose application issues, raise issues definitions for the developers.

You will have the ability to execute SQL reports to Excel and use Excel to develop and maintain advanced reports for delivery and marking.

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent organisational, time management and relationship building skills. You have interest and passion for improving the educational experience for students around the world. You work effectively with clients from all culture backgrounds in multiple time zones.
