The role

The Janison Architecture team provides strategic and technical oversight across the Janison technical stack. The team provides guidance and direction across Janison Technology as well as ensuring alignment to Janison business strategy and objectives. Following agile software development practices, the team provides just enough design to deliver fit for purpose and fit for use solutions to maximise business value and minimise operate costs.

As a member of the Janison Architecture, you will be responsible for finding the best solution to solve the existing business problems. You will describe the aspects of solutions to project stakeholders as well as the technology team. You will be a member of a high performance, highly skilled team where you support the other team members and are supported. You will influence the software architecture as Janison continues to grow in the edtech industry.

Other duties include:

  • the translation of Business Strategy into Solution Architecture by finding the best solution to solve the existing business problems
  • leading Solution Design and Analysis
  • orchestrating Solution Delivery
  • working directly with delivery squads as a mentor and guide
  • producing sprint 0 deliverables including frameworks and proof of concepts
  • delivering Product Roadmap with no quality related slippages to releases
  • 10% Innovation and Culture time with no negative impact to Product Roadmap
  • demonstrating subject matter expert on specific architecture domains

About you

To be successful in this role, you should have over 10 years of experience in developing business software with strong expertise in designing and developing cloud solutions

You should be able to demonstrate excellent understanding of application development methodologies and strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking across all levels of the organization.
