The role

The Janison business is scaling up rapidly, underpinned by a portfolio of strategic accounts that will continue to be the engine room of our continued growth. We are now at a point where we require a second Strategic Account Manager (SAM) to join our high-performing sales team, based in Sydney.

Reporting to the Head of Global Sales, the Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will be a highly motivated sales professional who is responsible for ensuring the success, expansion and retention of our largest strategic customers. This includes account planning, delivering on growth targets and ensuring customer success in a true partnership model. Core to the Strategic Account Manager role is working collaboratively and cross functionally – both internally and externally with partners and customers to ensure joint alignment and success. The SAM will be responsible for overall account management, resource deployment and be the key point of contact and decision-making for their assigned strategic accounts.


  • Work effectively as a trusted advisor with your strategic customers to help them grow and be successful with us
  • Be the Janison champion internally for your customers ensuring we are across their needs and business goals – support delivery of services and ensure seamless customer experience
  • Be responsible for achievement of the revenue and profit of your key accounts, ensuring that you achieve and or exceed your goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Maintain pipeline and forecast accuracy of 95%+, including real time updates of the CRM
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure alignment of relevant campaigns and initiatives for assigned the SAM portfolio
  • Provide direct account management and account planning for your customers
  • Work to ensure customer success and maximise retention

About you

You are a seasoned Sales professional, with a passion for customer success and proven consultative selling experience in the tech, SaaS or ed-tech sectors. You have a demonstrated ability to manage large and complex accounts, oriented towards sustainable growth. You know the difference between and when to focus on the tactical versus strategic. You have an authentic affinity for our purpose in education. You are passionate about both being part of and enabling our ‘onejanison’ culture and are a strong cultural fit for our Go-To-Market Team who ‘take our work seriously but not ourselves, and support, motivate and care for each other’. You are tenacious and resilient, and are keen to contribute to our development.
