Janison and Cambridge provide a robust assessment solution for the NSW DoE
Janison has once again joined forces with Cambridge University Press & Assessment (Cambridge) to deliver 40,000 online placement tests for the New South Wales Department of Education.
These placement tests are used to identify gifted students who may thrive in a Selective High School (from Year 7), or may benefit from enrichment in an Opportunity Class (for Year 5). They ensure that the state’s brightest students are being suitably challenged and helped to fulfill their potential.
Janison’s partnership with Cambridge will allow the NSW DoE to shift these important tests from paper-based to fully online by 2025, with all of the benefits this entails: rapid auto-marking, highly-flexible accessibility features, advanced reporting and more.
Janison is providing its resilient assessment platform and invigilation services as part of the collaboration, and Cambridge are developing the tests themselves, with much work being done together to ensure the final tests are engaging, accessible, and provide a frictionless experience for students.
Together, Janison and Cambridge are delivering a complete, robust end-to-end assessment solution for the NSW DoE, without the need for external integrations. The advanced ACARA-approved accessibility features and offline capabilities of Janison’s assessment platform ensures that the NSW DoE can deliver smooth tests to every student who would benefit from them, regardless of how remotely they’re located. This allows them to provide a truly equitable experience for gifted NSW students, giving them the opportunities they need to soar.
Going forward, Janison hopes to work more closely with Cambridge on their many education reform projects across the world, with initiatives in the UK, America, and Africa to name a few. The two organisations are exploring partnership opportunities and how they can unlock the potential in learners across the world.
