ICAS Test Operations Lead

Position Summary

The ICAS Test Operations Lead oversees the effective delivery of Janison’s ICAS products across Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific region. This role manages operational planning, coordinates cross-functional activities, and directly supervises the ICAS Test Operations Co- ordinator to ensure seamless execution of assessment programs.

Reporting to the Head of Test Delivery Operations, this position provides operational leadership, manages stakeholder relationships, and drives strategic initiatives to support ICAS’s international expansion. The role requires strong coordination skills, strategic thinking and the ability to lead both operational delivery and process improvements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide direction to the Business Operations Coordinator, ensuring effective delivery of  operational activities and supporting their professional development
  • Lead cross-functional operational activities involving international partners, resellers, testing centres, and internal teams
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with international resellers, testing centres, and key stakeholders to drive business outcomes and expansion
  • Lead strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, business value, and service quality
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of master schedules and operational plans for the ICAS Assessments unit
  • Manage test delivery and logistics for international resellers and testing centres, ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Coordinate and support training activities for international resellers and partners
  • Oversee contract management for item and test development, ensuring compliance with client specifications and project management methodologies
  • Provide strategic advice and escalation support for operational and delivery challenges
  • Plan and oversee external events and operational activities, including occasional international travel
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance systems, processes, and service quality across the team

 

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

  • 3-4 years proven experience in operations management, business operations, or project coordination within education, assessment, or technology sectors
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or managing team members
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement, and problem-solving skills
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Customer-focused approach with ability to work effectively in fast-paced and collaborative environments

Desirable:

  • Degree in Commerce, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Qualifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) or demonstrated project management experience
  • Experience working across multiple time zones and coordinating with geographically dispersed stakeholders
  • Experience in project or product management within large-scale educational assessment programs
