The role

At Janison the Business Analyst’s primary objective is to enable the business to implement technology for our clients in a cost-effective way by conducting root cause analysis to establish best practice requirements, and communicating the outcomes clearly to stakeholders.

By collaborating and building relationships with clients, you will  be able to identify and analyse existing business processes, systems and other functional requirements and optimise these into desired state solutions.

You will also be required to liaise closely with the internal stakeholders to; review and monitor effectiveness of solutions, gather, analyse and translate business data into meaningful insights which support informed decision making and improve the overall effectiveness of processes and programs.

Duties include:

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement and develop and implement solutions
  • Undertake technical analysis including technical and functional risk impact as part of the design process – engaging technical stakeholders where appropriate
  • Validate requirements and process documentation to ensure feasibility and traceability of requirements
  • Document and communicate insights and plans, to cross-functional teams and clients
  • Lead and/or contribute to the implementation of digital projects
  • Strong understanding of digital product development
  • Provide technical guidance to clients for business requirements solutions
  • Be an all-rounder – play a key role in the development of functional documentation, facilitate the management of change if required, support the testing of initiatives and the resolution of problems as they emerge
  • Build strong relationships through engagement with clients, colleagues and other key stakeholders across all stages of the project delivery
  • Prioritise, validate and ensure that project deliverables meet business requirements
  • Work on multiple projects/tasks concurrently
  • Facilitate workshops and design sessions using the appropriate methodologies and frameworks

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in business analyses, project management, strong business and product acumen and knowledge of all Microsoft applications and other BPM and Process Mapping tools. You will have a University degree in Business, Information Technology or related discipline.

To succeed in this role you should have a strong sense of ownership and willingness to drive continuous improvement for customers and for the team.  You will have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
