Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Casual Workforce Experience Specialist to lead and improve how we recruit, onboard, train, and engage our casual workforce. This role is instrumental in shaping the employee experience from day one, with a focus on efficiency, engagement, and continuous improvement. With strong knowledge of recruitment and workforce practices, combined with experience across projects and events, the Onboarding Specialist will play a key role in unifying casual staff engagement across JEM and AAS. A core part of this role will also involve developing and delivering tailored training and onboarding content to ensure all team members are equipped and confident to succeed in their roles. During peak periods, the role will shift to support major projects and events with agile workforce mobilisation. Familiarity with platforms such as Deputy and Turbo is highly desirable.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Work to be performed, tasks to complete and responsibilities of the role:
• Lead the full onboarding process for new casual hires, including contracts, inductions, and compliance.
• Build and maintain structured training programs and onboarding resources to support casual staff success.
• Deliver or coordinate induction sessions, skills training, and role-specific education.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand training needs and build fit-for-purpose content.
• Manage the casual workforce lifecycle, including engagement, retention, and communication.
• Forecast, plan and recruit for peak periods, including major events or special projects.
• Contribute to harmonising onboarding and engagement models across JEM and AAS.
• Maintain and optimise workforce systems such as Deputy and Turbo, ensuring accurate data and rostering.
• Monitor the effectiveness of onboarding and training programs through feedback and key metrics.
• Continuously improve onboarding processes, documents, and experiences based on feedback and evolving needs.
• Act as a key support during project and event rollouts, coordinating staffing and onboarding logistics.

About you:

Essential:
• Experience in onboarding, recruitment, HR coordination, or workforce management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver, and refine training and induction programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for people engagement.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Experience using workforce management software (Deputy, Turbo or similar).
• Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and process improvement skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Sound knowledge of general Modern Award provisions. While complex or technical matters will be escalated to the People & Culture team, the role requires confidence in interpreting and applying basic Award conditions relevant to day-to-day workforce planning.

Desirable:
• Experience supporting training, projects, or workforce delivery for large events.
• Familiarity with compliance and documentation related to casual or flexible employment.
• Experience aligning or integrating onboarding approaches across business units.
